Dear Families,

Have you been wondering what we will be doing with our children for Christmas this year? Our Christmas presentation will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2008 during both worship services.

This year we are focusing on a church family focus where we will have involvement from children, youth, and adults in a variety of forms.  Holly Simons will be our producer. Sandy Stanard and Heather Drenning will be directing children narrations, action for video, and music rehearsals. 

In summary, the children will be presenting the Christmas story in video form. The acting and narrations will be pre-recorded in October for the video that will be shared on December 21^st. The children will also have the opportunity to sing musical selections live during the presentation day. We will also have a special opportunity for our Kids Worship Team.

Essentially, there are 4 components that you may choose for your family.  All rehearsals are minimal, but still a commitment and you will need to choose what fits best for your family. You may choose to be a part of 1, 2, 3, or all 4 components.

 Component #1 Narrations

Any child who may be interested in narrations will rehearse lines and will be recorded for our video. The rehearsal schedule is attached. This is open to anyone who can prepare and speak expressively the Christmas scriptures.  The narrations are VERY short and we would like a variety of children in a variety of ages.

 Component #2 Kids Worship Team (KWT)

Any child who is interested in singing with the Kids Worship Team will learn extra music and be able to join with the Adult Worship team for two selections. The rehearsal schedule is attached. This is open to kids from Kindergarten and older.

 Component #3 Acting

Any child who is interested in acting may choose to be in costume and “act” out parts of the Christmas story for our video. Rehearsal and shoot dates are attached. This is appropriate for ages preschool through grade six.

*Costume fittings are scheduled for these dates in Room 106:

Sunday, October 12, 11:30-12:30, and

Sunday, October 19, 11:30-12:30,

or Thursday, October 16^th from 11:30-12:30 after Moms Group.

 Component #4 Choir

Any child who would like to be singing live on December 21^st will be rehearsing 2 selections for a “choir”. These rehearsals will take place on Sunday mornings and the schedule is attached.
