            -Covenant of Prayer..."Discovering God's will for our next Associate Pastor of Adult Ministries"

 

B.  DEFINITION PHASE (completed)

            -Conduct Survey of Congregation

            -Develop job description

            -Develop Pastoral Personality and Gifting Profile

            -Develop Church Profile

 

C.  ADVERTISE POSITION

            -Develop and place advertisement

            -Utilize all "Search Engines"...Seminaries, denominations, websites, placements services, magazines.

            -Develop church website as reference tool for candidates

            -Letter to affiliated churches, pastors, FCCO congregation, friends

 

D.  RESUME REVIEW PHASE

            -Maintain data base of applicants to track communications and assessments

            -Evaluate Resumes

            -Develop Application

            -Narrow field of candidates to top 25

 

E.  APPLICATION REVIEW PHASE

             -Invite most promising candidates to complete application

            -Evaluate Applications and sermon tapes

            -Narrow field of candidates to top 10

 

E.  INTERVIEWS PHASE

            -Investigate references

            -Order background checks

            -Conduct 1st interviews

            -Narrow field of candidates to top 3

            -Conduct 2nd interviews and church visits

 

F.  THE CALL PHASE

            -Make decision about primary candidate

            -Present the candidate to the Leadership Council and the congregation for their approval

            -Send a letter to the Congregation, introducing our new Lead Pastor.
